Five junior sports teams from across Halton are celebrating after being named winners of merseyflow’s annual Team Spirit competition.
Open to local teams up to under-14 level, the competition gave entrants the opportunity to secure one of five new team kits, each worth up to £1,000.
This year’s competition attracted an excellent response, with inspiring entries from, football, netball, morris dancing and more. A panel of merseyflow judges chose the five teams that most clearly demonstrated teamwork, dedication and community spirit.

Now in its fifth year, merseyflow’s Team Spirit competition supports local clubs that give young people opportunities to take part in sport and physical activity, benefiting their physical health and mental wellbeing.
Helen Williams, Marketing Manager at merseyflow,said: “We are delighted to continue investing in young people across Halton through our Team Spirit competition. Every year, local junior sports clubs impress us with their energy, commitment and team spirit, and the standard of this year’s entries was exceptional.
“We understand that many junior teams depend on fundraising and donations to pay for essential kit and equipment. It is a pleasure to help these clubs and celebrate the vital role they play in enabling young people to be active, grow in confidence and learn important life skills through sport.”
Each winning team will receive a new kit worth up to £1,000, providing valuable support as players continue their sporting journeys and represent their clubs with pride.
